In class we have been studying the Age of Imperialism. The USA has been accused over the last eight years of imperialism in the middle east. The new Obama administration is trying to change the image of America across the world.
Do you think America is an imperialist country? Is American imperialism good for the world?

~I do think that America is a imperalism country, because when we went to war with Iraq we wanted to make them inherit our culture. I don't thnk that American imperalism is good, because everyone doesn't live thet way we do, so who are we to try and change other people.
~I believe that America can increase it's power and inflence on the world without using thier military, is by making suggestings on some of the thet things that other counrties may do.
~I think that imperalism is less accepted that it used to be, because now counties are starting to stand up for theirselves and be more strong and not let people take over their land.
I do think that America is an imperialist country because most of what other couuntries have,America has their hand in it.However,the reason on why America has their hand in the other countries is because America is allies with those countries.American imperialism is not good for the world because even though a majority of the countries are allies with America,They would not want America to rule over them completely.One way that America can increase its influence and power in the world without using its military is to tell other countries better ways to increase peace within foreign as well as in the world.As soon as other countries see America influencing this,those other countries would be sure to show America respect and this will definetly increase the power.Imperialism is less accepted than it used to be because other countries have become more stronger and more advanced than what they used to be in the 1800s and the early 1900s.

no i dont think america is an imperialist country because america doesnt act like a imperialst country.For example we havent fought to take over a country.America can help the world and set an example to not resort to violence.Imperialism is less accepted because not alot of countries take over other countries

I think america is an imperalism country because they use their ability to have power and more control over any country then any other country so they use that to push over all the other countries, their imperialism is good for country because were the boss and we can do whatever we want to do
american can have a state meeting or even country or contitnent so they can be able to work out there differences and hear each country inpoion all their own standards.
